The Mulford Riding Camps are a hit every year. Campers have so much fun in this active and super fun camp. The kids participate in all kinds of activities.

For Summer Riding Camp, you’ll need to bring the following items:

  • PLEASE LABEL EVERY ITEM with your child’s name.
  • Please wear Riding Britches or long pants.
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Bag lunch
  • Bring towel and change of clothes for water activities
  • Horseback riding paddock boots or a hard toe closed shoe
  • Certified Horseback Riding Helmet – *Helmets available to rent
  • Tennis shoes/sneakers for games
  • Mid-morning snack
  • Breakfast (only if coming for early drop off)

COST $730 Per Week

  • NO REFUNDS
  • Camp Daily Schedule 9:00 to 3:30
  • Extended time 3:30 to 4:30
  • $20 per day at time of registration
  • $30 per day otherwise
  • Early Drop-off Anytime from 8:00-9:00
  • $60 per week at time of registration
  • $15 per morning otherwise
  • EXTENDED TIME 3:30-4:30

For EARLY Drop-off: Campers can bring breakfast, a book to read, a quiet activity, or electronic device to use during this time. There are no organized activities during this time. We are not responsible for any books or electronic devices that are brought to camp.

EXTENDED TIME: 3:30 to 4:30 May include feeding horses, cleaning, working with Ginger the miniature horse, art, science and games.

This is only a sample schedule of activities and rotation times. This varies each week.

Up to Three Hours of Horse Time!

  • 9:00 -10:00 -1st Activity
  • Rotations may include:
    1. Horseback Riding
    2. Horsemanship
    3. Horse Training
    4. Drama
    5. Moviemaking
    6. Archery
    7. Baking
    8. Roping
    9. Games
    10. Photography
  • 10:00-11:00 – 2nd Rotation
  • 11:00 – Snack with Group
  • 11:00-12:00 – 3rd Rotation
  • 12:00-1:00 – 4th Rotation (lunch with group unless riding)
  • 1:00-2:00 – 5th Rotation (lunch with group)
  • 2:30-3:30 – 6th Rotation
  • 3:30-4:30 – Extended Time – COST additional $20 per day. * If Extended Day is not purchased during registration, it will be charged at $30 per day.

FULL HOUR of riding each day! (If lunch time is during their riding time, they will eat lunch during their next activity).

Campers also get an Additional hour of Horsemanship instruction off the horse which may include grooming, tacking up and general horse skills. It also may include horse care, horse psychology, horse management, academics and games, braiding, shampooing, painting horses and general skills.

MORE TIME Horse Training: campers may also get additional horse time – Horse Training. (age 8-15 years).

  • How to Train a horse from the ground.
  • Building a relationship with your horse.
  • Bonding with your horse.
  • Round pen training. One on One with a horse.

And if they want even more time around horses they can offer to be a helper working with the horses and other riders.

If you have a friend who wants to join your Rider for camp but does not want to ride, we offer plenty of other awesome activities!

From the garden to the table

Growing vegetables and herbs the natural way! From our camp garden!
No pesticides. All organic!
Learn to care for and grow a garden and then taste your naturally grown produce in our cooking class!

Barn Activities May Include:
-Shampooing the horses
-Painting the horses
-Show braiding
-Miniature Donkey/Ginger cart rides
-Miniature horse jumping
-The Barn Olympics
-The Great Barn Ninja Challenge!!!
-Shoot-out! (Water guns)
-Scavenger hunt

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES (not every week):
Vaulting—gymnastics on the horse

There will be a $25 fee for any change to your original registration.
Ages: 5-15
Barn Camp: For ages 5, 6 and 7 please register under Barn Camp. With Barn Camp they have more time with the small animals and they have a counselor that moves with with them from activity to activity.
